Sure, I am. But wouldn't there be a bigger problem if there was nothing that you were stressed about? I mean to have none would kinda imply that there is nothing you have to do/accomplish/goal/dream that you care about.

is stress a necessary condition to do/accomplish/dream?

Or that medical schools only start in the fall making spring after graduation booorrrrrriiiiiinnnnnnngggggg 😴

I'm probably less stressed at this moment than I usually am during the 'Midterm Blitz'. However, still a little stressed.

Yes. A titration passage in BR is the cause of 30 minutes of F-bombing. On the bright side, I asked my professor why reflected light works the way it does, and now I have a firm understanding of the topic. Hopefully browsing SDN will calm me down.

Nope. Going surfing on a Monday afternoon feels better when you know your friends are all at work. :meanie:

I didn't really mean that it is required for it. Just that if you have something you want to accomplish, you are going to be concerned about it. They come together. Might be a broad way think about stress but just my opinion.

Graduating and having a year off before medical school to do whatever the heck you want is amazing.

That doesn't sound lame at all. In fact, it sounds quite reasonable. Too bad you have to get lucky with your rotation assignments and slog through the first two years of med school before it's even a possibility.

Oh, yeah. Totally stressed. I bombed two midterms (to be fair, I had three on the same day), so I'm studying double hard to try to get back up into the A/B range for the overall class grade. But thankfully, that's the biggest source of stress for me.

It could be much worse!

Let's see, I have a 3 hour long calculus exam tomorrow, an organic chemistry exam on Friday plus a bunch of homework problems I still need to work before I take the exam, a linear algebra quiz on Wednesday, and stats homework I need to learn how to do before the exam next Friday.

edit: And a lab report/pre-lab for organic chemistry.

You sound like my class mates, always talking about how much they have to do . . . you poor things

/back to digging ditches

I don't get it, what are so many people stressed about? The vast majority of us are 22 or less year-old students in college and don't have families to feed or the likelihood of not eating at night. We're safe every night, don't have any terminal illnesses, and seemingly even have the prospect of becoming one of the highest paid professions in the planet.

What are people stressing about? Classes? Having to work?

I think this is the land o self pressurization. When you have a ton of blessings you kinda feel like you should be able to excel at everything all the time and every screw up seems like something that should have been avoidable.

Manual labor sucks ass but it's mindless and easy once you learn to shut your brain off 8 hours at a time.

I'm just enjoying waiting for school to start and until I can quit my job!!!!!! I have one volunteering obligation that I kept.. and that's it.. I'm just chillin like a villain until July

how can we not be stressed were pre-meds! lmao...

I didn't know that college was the equivalent of a battle filed. Then again, I guess everyone has stress no matter what situation they are in.

For example, Paris Hilton might be stressed about not having the right shoes for her outfit while an Iraqi Child might worry about not finding food for tonight. Our worry is not getting into the field we want.

Hmmm... philosophically speaking, is any stress judged/measured less than another?

Drunk actually

But if I wasn't I'd probably be a blend of angry, scared, and worthless until I worked out tomorrow, then I'd feel superior, virile, and destined for greatness for 4 hours at least.

I hate being chemicals

Who uses the word 'virile' when they're drunk?

Fake drunk ftw

I wish. Tomorrow would be soooo much better, but alas....

"ohhhh nobody uses 'alas' either! double fake drunk ftw"

Of course "drunk" is relative and I'm amongst nerds, so my 1.5 bottles of wine is being applied a curve. Just a good buzz around true drinkers.

*EDIT* I just got done watching Crazy Heart which really helped me keep it going

What a lightweight. Wine coolers? Do shots like a real man.

Yep.

Wannabe writer's fantasy.

I got into it for a short time, but I decided the actors weren't good looking enough for how much sex I was being forced to watch.

I mean Hank was OK....I guess....I'd hit it

I mean his wife.......yeah..his ex wife was OK. hit it

Geez I should stop. One more splash.......<OK still some left is bottle for defense against spousal accusations of substance abuse problems>
