Okay. My study for the past 2 weeks have not progressed as planned because I have not done ANY questions.
I ended up just reading books....
After I talked to my classmates this afternoon, they were like, "oh no, you need to do questions, you are so behind. I'm already done 1 qbank already"

Here's my situation,
0 question done
Basically, I've just been annotating FA from Lilly, HY anatomy, HY emb, RR biochem, Micro Made Simple, Pathphy Made Simple, Imm Made Simple, HY Neuro, HY Behav,
And I just went through RR Path once.

Now I have 1 month left. What should I start?!
NBME or Uworld?!

After all those sources, you should have a pretty solid grasp of the material.

bang out uworld

You are going the RIGHT WAY.

Yep, pretty solid work there, just take an NBME to see how far you have come and start off UW now.4 weeks is a good time to tackle it out.

one BEST piece of advice I can give ya will be :

Stay AWAY from people who stress you out.You are your own master and know your study inkling yourself, so go with your own strategy based on rational advice you get from previous test takers.

Trust me this comes from someone who has practised this.I avoided nervous wrecks and overtly ambitious dudes who stressed me out-and it worked for my finals at school.

It's good to take advice but let it not trigger stress.

First, you should take a couple deep breaths. Anyone who tells you you're "so behind" is being a bit of a jack@ss to be completely honest. Especially, if you've gone through a lot of tough material in 2 weeks and still have 4 weeks.

Should you be doing questions? Yes. However, you have to give yourself a fighting chance of getting questions right, so you have to read books too. On top of that, the questions don't always give you the full context of the situation. Sure, there are some pretty sweet tables, but it's nothing like reading RR Pathology or Robbins.

The fact that you've already gotten through RR Path once is great. Based on the resources/annotation you have been doing, you're doing a very deep review of every single subject. Impressive!

USMLEWorld, you'll have to do the entire thing anyway, so I'd get crackin'.

NBME? Well, it's good to figure out where you are.

It would be a good idea to start uworld now so you are not pressured toward the end to do a lot of questions at a time so you can extract as much as you can from them

I definitely agree that you shouldn't be worried. A month is plenty of time to do UWorld and you are probably ahead of all those people who have been doing questions already and not read any extra books. I read a ton of books before I started doing questions and I think it works better that way. Now that you've done the legwork of understanding the background you can spend most all your time with FA, UWorld, and Rapid Review or whatever you are comfortable with, and when you miss questions now it means more b/c you can focus on what you don't know instead of just starting with UWorld, missing most of the questions and using it to learn everything (which is something that works for a lot people, don't get me wrong). Basically don't stress, you've been doing what you need to do and probably more than most people so you'll be fine.

haha I know!
I actually felt good this morning as I finished up RR path and posted a thread commenting about the usefulness of the margin notes in RR.
Then my friend told me about me being so behind and I died a little inside.

Starting on questions now =)

Thanks!
