So I sit here and am extremely stressed over this whole application process. Im waiting to hear back from my #1 school and have a gut feeling that I will not be accepted there. I had an interview and didn't think it went well, which really disappoints me because I know that the interview was not indicative at all of the person I truly am. I have been accepted into Touro's Bayshore campus but before this year I never heard of the program before. I also have read a lot of bad things about the program on this forum. Basically I don't really know what to do at this point. Can anyone offer an incite at this point about Touro's reputation. Im honestly tempted to go through the application process all over again for another chance at my dream school if things don't work out.

what is the school you really want to get into?

I would say alot of factors will come into play when making the decision on whether to apply again next year. Are u able to afford a year off, do you have a job you can work during the year, are u able to afford the application fee again, are you willing to go through the application process of obtaining LORs again since i believe reapplying will require you to do that again, are you willing to retake classes, do more hours, and/or retake gre, so that you can strengthen up your application? How discontent are you of going to Touro, are you willing to risk not getting into stony brook again next year? you have to answer these questions yourself, and make the big choice.

I mean I'm grateful for getting into the school, but I'm getting a vibe from the school that it is very unorganized. They don't even offer tours of the school, or invite you to come visit the campus. What bothers be about Stony Brook is that certainly qualified for their program in terms of GPA and GRE, but the interview didn't go great in my eyes. To be rejected for that reason just upsets me honestly, as I dont think the people who interviewed me really got a true sense of the individual that I am.

a lot of times when you think you do horribly on something, you end up doing great lol. I had an interview at Midwestern and I thought I did terrible. I definitely had a few uhhhms and one totally off topic answer and I thought "well there goes that." Got an acceptance a week and a half later. So don't get discouraged just from a gut feeling, you never know.

those are some good observations of the program and you are merit to get a bad vibe from them. but you are only assuming that you didnt get into stony brook because of the interview. there are many other factors besides the interview that you didn't get in. it could be that they got other applicants who had better applications then yours, hell you could have been the next person they would have accepted if another applicant declined their admissions. what i'm trying to say is you can't blame yourself for the interview. I've had interviews where I thought I failed miserably, made jokes no one laughed to, and I got accepted. And interviews where I got magically along with the interviewer, we talked about everything and enjoyed the conversation and then I get a rejection letter. So you have to tell yourself that you did your very best and whatever happens is out of your hands.

jkaz, if Touro's PT program is certified, then it probably cannot be BAD. ? You may also want to look up the school's stats, like how many % graduate and how many % pass the exam - it is better to make a decision based on facts instead of emotions, especially at this point.

Dont give up hope. Keep your head up.
