hi everyone, first of all i'm thankful that this forum exist!! ya'll give me hope :]

i'm applying this year and planning to retake my OATs in october b/c it looks like SUNY likes 350 OAT scores.. that and i need to compensate for my GPA.. but i was wondering if anyone had more advice.. how i could be a more competitive candidate..personal statement information.. anything would help!!!! anyone applying for fall 06?? i'm sooo stressed out :[

anyways.... this is mainly for the SUNY kids (although my other choices are SCCO, UH, ICO, NECO, NOVA.. haha thats a lot).. but i <3 SUNY.. im a 3rd year @ UCBerkeley and my gpa is low (overall 3.0.. and pre-req =bad ).. well i'm improving.. i atleast got a 3.5 this semester! my OAT scores TS 360 and AA 330 (freaking got raped on RC/Math).. 1 year work experience.. + extracurricular + TEXOCOP summer program

A GPA of 3.0 from Berkeley is adequate and a 360 TS score is quite good. If you have some experience in the field and some good letters of recommendation, you will likely be as competitive as anyone else. I would not be too stressed out over this. The advice I usually give to people is to try to have one thing in your personal statement that makes your application stand out.
