Hey all! I'm a Canadian citizen, and I'm going to a university in the US (michigan in particular) completing my undergrad. I'm in my second year of university, I have my degree mapped out and should end with a 3.6 science gpa and 3.5 overall gpa. So because I'm Canadian, I am considered an international student. Because of this I've been told my chances of getting into university are really low since priority is given to in-state or US citizens. I've looked everywhere and the number of people getting accepted as internationals is pretty low. My gpa for overall and science will probably be cum.3.5 and Sci 3.6 as mentioned--which I get isn't the highest so I'm really worried. I don't know what to do! Do you think I have a shot? Anyone in the same boat? I'd love to hear your stories... mention your cumulative gpa, science gpa and mcat! Also, carribean is a scary option for me.. I've heard a lot about people having issues coming back here, not being matched etc... I don't want to have to worry about not being matched because of my degree being in the caribbean. D.O. school is something that came to mind, but I want to keep MD as my #1 choice. Appreciate it in advance. Thanks!
