Is it just me, or does information provided by (APA accredited) clinical PhD programs vary from school to school? I was looking at Yale's information, and unless I totally missed it, it doesn't seem like they share the total number of applicants per year, how many are offered acceptance, and how many decide to enroll in their program. What are (APA accredited) schools obligated to share on their webpages? Thanks.

The link to Yale's info is below:

While searching programs I noticed many did not report all the information they were supposed to or some buried it deep in the catacombs of their website... Many presented info that hadn't been updated in at least 3 years, also.

I could be wrong, but I don't think school's are required to report the number of applications receiver per year...as I don't know if I've ever seen this reported.

I believe it's mostly outcome-related material that APA requires (e.g., mean number of years to graduation, number of students not completing the program, internship match rates, licensure rates, etc.). The only admissions-related criteria I've come to expect are things like the average GPA and GRE of an incoming class, as well as the incoming class size.

I'm glad you like my picture by the way 🙂 I never got a chance to thank you on the previous thread!

AcronymAllergy: I think I've seen on UIC's clinical info that they share applicants, accepted, & admitted, but it may be one of the fewer schools that shares that info.

APA only requires outcome information, but CUDCP (the Council of University Directors of Clinical Psychology) member programs agreed to put up additional information about applicants (GRE scores, GPA, etc.). It might have been around 3 years ago when everyone agreed to do that, though I don't remember for sure. My guess is that after that, when people put that info up in the first place (yes, it's often buried, too), they forgot to update it.
