I've been thinking a lot about being an ambassador for a few different companies. Specifically for me I would want to be an ambassador for Banfield, Royal Canin, and possibly VetGirlOnTheRun. I know there is some compensation for being a Banfield Ambassador. I definitely want to only represent brands/companies that I believe in. Just wanting to see if anybody knows other ambassador opportunities and what compensation/benefits they entail. I tried to search and see if there was already a thread about this on here or on reddit and couldn't find much of anything. Or is this more of a once you start school you'll get more info on this....??

Usually a you'll get more info once you're in because each school has their own rules about what is and is not allowed. In my experience most our reps get~500/semester and you usually start 2nd year or spring 1st year at the earliest. Other rep opportunities may not pay at all and some pay in other ways like free products and usually include a rep bag with company things ie shirt/scrubs/mugs etc
Depending on the company you may get paid to go to a training somewhere but idk how that's working currently.
I'm a rep for 2 companies and interviewed for alot of the positions so if you have more specific questions I'm open to answering them here or in pm!

For my school, reps send out applications for positions either starting in very late fall to early spring (since 3rd years start clinics in mid-spring). Some companies have a rep in each class year, while others only have 1 rep that stays through until at least the end of 3rd year. I know seeral people that kept their rep position through 4th year, so those positions only open up every 2-3 years. I've heard of compensation ranging from 500-1000/semester, with added bonuses of products, swag, conferences, etc. Once you're in school, you can also see which companies *aren't* represented and apply to the school and the company to start an outreach program as well. Several people in my class did this for smaller companies/programs.
