How do medical schools view student athletes within admissions? Are there any schools that particularly favor athletes provided they had a strong mcat and gpa?

Athletics are always viewed as a plus in the E.Cs, put down any awards or accomplishments. Even if you were just on a club team that still looks good from what ive heard. obv olympic athletes are in the top echelon of extra curriculars but ncaa athletes and other levels still look good. Med boards love seeing your hobbies and ive even heard of people putting "weightlifting" on their applications if they happen to work out alot
