Student athletic trainer?

is it work taking a job as a student athletic trainer. At my school our satc help wrap athletes, etc. is this seen as a plus on med schools? or should i just foucs on my school work during the year. I have plenty of volunteering hours in an er...

Do it if you think you think it's meaningful and you will enjoy it (hard to tell from your description). Just don't expect it to count as community service or anything, whatever that means.

I did this in college. Don't know if it helped me get in but you can make it a more relevant experience if you can get the team doc to let you hang around when he/she's working with the athletes.
