Researchers at Long Island University (LIU) in Brooklyn, NY are seeking psychotherapists (trainee and non-trainee therapists) to participate in an online study regarding empathy in therapists. Your participation will help us advance knowledge in this very important psychotherapy area.
To be eligible, you must be:
1) a psychologist, counselor, social worker, psychiatric nurse, or student therapist; and therefore either have a relevant master’s or doctorate degree that allows you to practice as a therapist, or be in the process of completing one.
2) currently conducting psychotherapy with at least one patient.
3) AND at least 23 years old.
Eligible participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win one of six $50 Amazon gift cards.
This is an online study. You will be asked to complete 8 questionnaires, including a short demographic questionnaire. For one of these scales, you will be shown different eye expressions and asked to identify the emotion expressed. The study will take approximately 15-25 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential.
