My school recently started charging dental students who get work done in the clinic by other students 50% of normal public fee's (so a pfm for a student would be around $240). Are there any other schools out there that charge there students this much money to have work done? Our only "complimentary" services are diagnostic and preventative procedures such as sealants.😕

We're not charged for any direct restorations. For indirect, you have to pay the lab fees. Specialized services that can't be done primarily by a classmate such as ortho or implants usually are a little more expensive, but still much cheaper than our patient price. I forget about endo, but extractions are free unless you want IV sedation.

At WVU, we have to pay for everything full price from what I understand. The president of the university said "how are dental students different than other students at the university?"😡
