This year, any students/residents/fellows may register to attend UTSA's Diabetic Foot Update for free (in past years it was only free for Texas residents/affiliates). The conference is conveniently held on the weekend Dec 6-7 on UT Health Campus in San Antonio.
Each year has a different diabetic foot theme. This year's theme is The Charcot Foot - Diagnosis and Management. It is a good opportunity to interact with well-known faculty from around the world. It is also Professor J-M Charcot's 200th birthday. Sadly, he is unable to make it. However, we will have a special guest from the Charcot Library at the La Salpetriere Hospital in Paris, Dr. Georges Ha Van, who will describe the impact of Professor Charcot and the history of the La Salpetriere.
The conference dinner on Saturday night will be held in The Alamo. We hope it's the second most memorable event to occur at The Alamo.
