Sorry for creating yet another help thread... I have emailed PTCAS about this but I thought I would check in with others who may have more insight.

I e-submitted my application over the weekend, and this morning I woke up to an email from PTCAS saying that had rejected my application because I had failed to report a foreign institution attended. The email said that the institution was listed on my home university's transcript, and so I must include it on the "Institutions Attended" portion of the application, and then re-submit my application within the week. That part I have already taken care of, but...

I studied abroad at the National University of Singapore for a semester in Spring 2011. As an exhange program, I was supposed to receive transfer credit at my home university, and that was supposed to be that. However, it turns out that on my transcript, the credit is listed for the semester as "UA Study Abroad Track" with 12 credits and a grade of Y ("no graded needed to be given"). Otherwise, it's listed on my home university's transcript that I received transfer credit from the National University of Singapore.

The instructions for study abroad that PTCAS gives are a bit general, and the language of the email was very confusing. It says that I don't need to send in foreign transcripts if the class, grade, and credit hours are listed on my home university's transcript. If not, I need to send it in through an evaluation service. Do you think the way it was entered counts as a "grade" or not? If not, I will have to pay nearly $200 and wait a few weeks to have the transcript processed...

I just started another thread with a similar question because I saw that you didn't get a response. Do you know if PTCAS counts your grades in the GPA calculation?

I called PTCAS to ask them my question about this. They said that it's actually the case that you will not need to submitted a transcript or GPAs if you just took a couple of classes, and if they weren't being used to satisfy prerrquisites. She advised that I contact each school's DPT department to get a specific answer, and I was told by every school that they would not need to to see my study abroad transcript (and with that, not need to see the classes or the grades).

But, I did need to list that I at least attended the National University of Singapore on the PTCAS application.

So, I would contact each school to see! Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. Hope this helps!
