Study aids for first year

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I tried to download that and couldn't find it. Where did you get it?
I think the link @Pacna is what I downloaded. I got it from two locations because supposedly it had some errata and some files are updated.

Have you used it?
What's your opinion on it?

Very factoid-y, which I guess is good for step 1. Not as fancy as I make my cards, which is a little annoying, but nothing I can't get over.

It sure beats trying to do this all yourself. It's very thorough, sometimes arguably too much.

All in all, I don't see why everyone doesn't use it. It's really very good. Start first year with 20 cards per day and you'll be almost half done when M2 comes around. Not bad!

As I understand it, the deck linked above is corrected, but you're right. The errata lists can be found here.

A lot depends on your school, and a lot depends on you.
I feel that 1st aid is good to go over as you on that system. However, it's high yield and may not have some of the finer points.
Personally, I got inundated by alllllllll the "wonderful resources" that the school and my classmates were trying out 1st month. Now I just get the powerpoint, make my own notes, make study guides and work with other people to make clinical vignettes.

Best non-material study advice - get to know your professors and "how to study for Dr Smith".

There is no "yeah, that's the best", because how your school teaches, what they teach and how you learn have significant ramifications on what you should choose or not choose to do.
