I studied mainly alone for the DAT. Only time I did study with another person was when we both knew most of the material and were able to tackle some hard problems from practice exams. Plus, find someone who is at an equal intelligence as you, and put the same amount of effort in his studies. You dont want to study with someone who does not know the material, you would end up tutoring him. I would only help someone after the DAT, when I have time. Before the DAT, every second counts in getting as much information as you can for that big day.
