Hi, I cannot decide which books to study from for my OATs. Should I go with Kaplan or the OAT destroyer or Topscore or should I use DAT material? Which one prepares you the most?

This is what I used to study this summer:

- Kaplan Online Course
- OAT destroyer
- Achiever
- GMAT/GRE math for the quantitative reasoning section

Out of all the materials, if I had to pick one - it'd be the kaplan course. This course was really good in helping me figure out what is important..and there's insane amounts of practice questions/tests etc to help you figure out how to approach problems..there's so much im not sure im going to be able to get through it all!

But the destroyer was really good if you need extra practice and achiever is good for extra practice exams..it all depends on how much you think you need

Also, the kaplan book (as in the review notes) I found was pretty horrible at explaining most of the topics, and thats why I needed so many other resources.

Hope that helps!

I also used the Kaplan material (took a course... the lecture part of the course is kind of pointless, so an online class would definitely be good enough. The online tests and quizzes are really helpful, the workshops aren't). I think the Kaplan review notes (the large, 1300 pg book) is really helpful... but different people have other views. I'm also using the OAT destroyer and TopScore.

The destroyer and topscore basically over-prepare you with lots of detail, so just make sure that whatever you choose to use, you don't spend all your time focused on details and forget the main points.

If you can only find DAT material, it's basically the same exact thing, as long as you use something else for physics.

Good luck!

I was wondering what is a good representation of the physics on the OAT..like i said i am currently taking the kaplan online course and the quizzes/tests online for physics seem to go really in depth and its seems complicated to me..ive been doing them but struggling quite a bit...I found the OAT destroyer problems to be much easier than this. Is the kaplan online stuff a good representation of the physics on the OAT??
