hey guys. i will have exactly 21 days to soley study for the part 1. taking it dec 29th before the test changes format and stuff.
i have: dental decks. crack NDBDe ( the red book), Kaplin book , and the First Aid book... do you suggest one overthe other and anything else ?
was wondering for all those who took the exam. what was your study schedule? what was most hopeful? what would you have done differently?
thanks soo much in adavance for all your advice.
GOD BLess.

I did dental decks 1x through and glanced at First Aid book one week before the exam. I felt like the first aid was a good review and wished I would have focused on it more. Kaplan will give you too much detail and you just don't have that much time. In addition it does not have an index which will be frustrating. Have no idea what crack the NBDE is. Some people found doing old ASDA released exams were helpful, but most of my friends say they found maybe 10 questions as repeats, so really not worth the money...

im sorry the red book im referring to is the board buster books.. yea im curiours as well. how long did it take you.
i really appreciate your feedback
thank you and GOD bless

How long did it take you to do your preparation??

25-28 days, a little less than 1 month. was also working on some hard core research so I didn't have as much time as I wanted to. locked myself away on the weekends pretty much. i was lucky with my score having a 97 somehow. i really do think the exam is fair and manageable. you just have to know EVERYTHING. and some of the most basic stuff is what you will forget because you are too focused on details. that's why i say read the first aid book a week before. i remember many questions in relation to what was written in the margins.

25-28 days. i know some people that used the board busters, they said it was exactly the same as the decks, just in book form. depends if you like books more than flashcards. i personally liked the flashcards because they were portable and colorful. made me feel better when i finally reached a different color. neither have indexes so that is a downside (but an advantage with the first aid book.)

hey , u scored 97 ,,grt ......cud u plz teme how many times u revised...m doin 4th time,,,, yet nt finished 3 subjects taking part 1 on 15 dec...practice of ques stil pending

bc of time constraints pick one. I would go with decks bc its test geared. First aid is a bit incomplete and requires researching the topic which you dont have time for. Kaplan would work but its too deep for the amount of time you have left. Start memorizing your decks go through them as many times as possible.
