Do I need dedicated study time or can I study for 1-2 months by doing UWorld questions over the weekends and on evenings? My goal is a 250+ on 2 CK.

Most were in the 80s, medicine was in the low 90s. Step 1 was 250

You should be fine with the two months, but if possible, see if you can take 2 weeks of vacation or schedule a really light rotation in the 2 or 4 weeks before the exam. On my exam, the mean wa 238 with a SD of 19, so a 250 shouldn't be too difficult

I don't think you need dedicated study time at all. You seem to already have solid foundation for the test. 250+ is very doable on this exam.

Would like to seek ya'lls opinion since I am similar to the OP in regards to step I in the 250s, but all my shelf exams (med, surg, peds) were all 77-78 range with the exception of psych which I got a 92. I am not trying to kill the test, a 250 is more than enough for me. I did UW once throughout third year but I am planning to do it again. Is there anything else I can do to effectively prepare? I was thinking of also doing QBank

i am in a similar situation to msbbc833. I have finished my internal med, surgery, peds and obgyn (psych is coming up). I got 70's in all of my shelf exams thus far (2 71's a 76 and a 78). I got a 245 on step 1 and really need at least that on step 2. I dont plan on taking step 2 until february because I have some time off after psych. I did nbme form 2 yesterday and got a 210 - not sure whether to be happy i passed since I havent started a hardcore study regimen yet, or annoyed that it is that low. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
