I started working as an associate recently and I can’t happen to notice that I love all the surgeries. I currently work some days 9-8pm yet im not dreading it. I was wondering if I study for CBSE after work and on weekends it would be possible to get a good score to be competitive?

My class rank is top10% but no externships.

The possibility of that depends on how hard you work towards it. Yeah of course it’s possible if you really grind. You will have to do externships though. It’s much harder to match as someone in private practice rather than someone doing a Noncat. So I would make sure you do plenty of externships and really crush the CBSE.

I am not OMS but my first thought is why not cut back at work to focus more on the CBSE? You may still need to do an internship but you could take this time as a graduate to focus on the CBSE.
