Being in medical school for close to 3 months now, I'm finding it a lot of work to maintain studying for lectures and labs

my question is, i mostly study from lectures for the exams (and that has been working fine)...

but to study for the COMLEX, i hear, one should read more textbooks and review books--I just wanted to know how to appropriately balance studying for the two (i mostly study the lectures because that's where the professors draw their questions from)

anyone have any tips for how to study for boards and class?

I'll tell you what I do. I always read what the review books have to say about the material I'm covering at that time. I don't use them as a primary source, but they show me what's board relevant. That way when boards come around your familiar w/ that particular review book. I also always look at first aid.
