I need some advice.
I've been reading a lot of posts about studying hard core for the MCAT for
1 - 3 months before. But how does this work with school, I know I will be taking 12 units during this next fall quarter before taking the test in january.
I wish I could just take a couple of months off, but this just doesn't seem possible.
Any advice?

I really want to know what other people in my position have done.
Did you study during the quarter/semester?

Taking 12 credits should allow you sufficient time to study. Try setting aside a specific block of time each day to study -- as above, treat it like another class. Presuming you have already taken most of the prerequisite classes, a lot of your studying will be review. Look over all the material before you start studying, and organize your studying by topic to build up your weak areas -- a lot of people waste tons of time reviewing the stuff they're already really good at (because it seems easier, I guess.)

Good luck!

it is hard to study while in school, but even harder when ur not....i was on coop for 6 months with no classes and i didnt study!!!!!!!! only a little....which is basically nothing.......i decided to do the coop so i could prepare but that didnt work out...i think its better while u are in classes because u stay motivated....it seems harder but its better.....👎

it depends... are you working a job/volunteering also?

i found it hard to take 12 credits (quarter system), my part time job, and volunteering all at once. I dropped a class w/o a W and it's been so much easier. I guess I could have done it if I disappeared from life, but I feel like it's important to relax.
