I will be taking gen ed biology and chemistry this spring semester.
would it be a good idea if I study "gen ed biology and chemistry sections" of the MCAT while I'm taking those two courses?
I know that I'm not ready to study orgo chem or higher level bio stuff.
but I not sure about gen ed course material.
Would it be too hard? (or too early?)

Thank You

I would suggest to just concentrate on acing those classes and learning the material well. After this Spring semester, maybe a week or two into Summer, do the some of the practice questions in these areas to see where you stand and then review/study as necessary.

There's no need to. You will find that when it comes time to study for the MCAT, most of what you need to know will have already been covered in your classes. Like someone said above, learn the material well the first time around, and it will definitely pay off later on. For me, studying organic for the MCAT was a quick review instead of a tedious relearning because I made sure to understand it thoroughly when I took the class.
