Kinda silly question, but I've studied this way successfully throughout undergrad and was wondering if it'll translate well to medical school.

Basically, I have a chromebook that I use to pull up my notes/powerpoint/study guide or whatever it may be and just walk back and forth throughout a hallway in my house reading over the slides/notes out loud repeatedly (keep in mind I do this strictly for classes/lectures that are purely memorization based and from what I understand medical school classes are the same, as compared to having to do actual practice problems on paper such as math). I understand that medical school is very information dense and not sure if what I do makes it much more time sensitive

The cliche way (that I've seen atleast) to study is to just sit with a book, laptop, notebook at a desk at home or at the library and study that way silently. My apologies if this is a dumb post and this way of studying is very common I just really don't know.

Thanks!

I'd say 50% of my studying is the cliche way, 35% is using Anki, and 15% with my study partner where we go through the ppts and quiz each other on things. You'd be surprised how much you miss when studying by yourself!

Hey. My sister, who is a psychology major, said that your method about waking back and forth is okay but if you want to retain the information better, repeat the info in different locations. Ex. Library, Bus, Store, etc. This will allow your brain to realize that the info is important. Hope this helps!
