Is there any one of you know which school in UK offer good Pharmacy Degree? Also, what is the career prospect of being a pharmacist in UK and HK? Would you all can offer some of your views, thanks!

Personally, I think that if you work hard, you will do well anywhere, and if you don't, then you won't do well at the best universities. Despite that, I've sent a link to look at. Scroll down to where's best for research and where's best for teaching sections.

And yes, career prospects very good. Pharmacists are very much in demand so you can relax about job opps.

Thanks for your message. I would also like to know how many areas I can work in since I have acquired the license and is the social status of Pharmacists high in UK?
Thanks for your answers again!~

I don't know if this is answers your question but there are various areas you can work in. From Hospital pharmacy to local community pharmacies. Some pharmacists choose to work on the clinical side of things. Industrial pharmacy is an option. You could work in education, as many of my lecturers do. Some of them even work half and half - at the hospital and at the university (I think that's quite interesting.)

If you weren't after that information I'm sorry because I wasn't too sure what you meant.

Social status of pharmacists in the UK. Second to only Doctors I believe. They are well-respected and the public acknowledge the fact that they are no longer non-qualified workers like they used to be a long time ago. They are trusted and relied upon. They are normally well-off in terms of money. I have been told by a pharmacist that he could, if he wanted to, walk out of one job and walk into another the next day...that shows that there is so much demand.

Some of the pharmacists that work as locums get paid even more in return for being flexible. I'm not too sure about the details but they are always on-call I think.

Hope that helps 🙂

Really thanks to your information! What I want is there any examination or license I need to obtain before I become a speciality: Consultant Pharmacist?
Also, I would like to know what is the job nature of Clinical Pharmacist and is it a must for pharmacists to get PhD or Doctor of Pharmacy???

I'd appreciate it if you'd simply record a quick mp3 of your posts and uploaded it instead of typing a response 😀

(You know you wanna show off your accent)

Sorry I don't know whether you have to sit an exam or not actually... *ponders*

And since everyone is so much more interested in how I say rather than what I say... FYI: I say everything in a BrItIsH AcCeNt! lol. You forget it's normal for me! Like, I wouldn't bother asking an american, do you say that in the american accent? lollz 😛 YoU GeTs Me?! hehe. Mind you, I could have been saying all that in the InDiAn AcCeNt since I'm Indian!! LOL
