I had asked one of my former professors from a few years back if she'd review it and help give some direction as to how I might strengthen it for the SMP application. However, I was just told 'keep revising...needs some polishing, but I do like how you market your skills and interests.'
Would someone mind taking a look at my statement and give some pointers of how I might strengthen the introduction? Also, should I be trying to get as close to that 500-word mark as possible or is it a matter of quality versus quantity? I'm very certain 200 words wouldn't do, but what about say, 350-400 words?
As soon as I can finalize my statement, I can submit the app, and would like to have that done this week.
