Hey,

Right now I live in Texas; however, I am not going to college in Texas. My question is when applying to dental school would I be a resident of Texas or the state I will be going to school.

I'm pretty sure I would be a resident of Texas but I was double checking

Thanks!

It depends on a lot of variables and a culmination of those variables will determine your residency. Here are some:

- Where is your permanant addresss?
- Where did you graduate from High School?
- Where are you registered to vote?
- Where do you pay state taxes?
- From which state is your drivers liscence?
- If you have a car, in which state is it registered?

Most likely, if you can answer "Texas" to most these questions you would be considered a Texas resident.
