Stupid Question: Do med schools send secondaries to email or do I have to check on AMCAS?

Self explanatory question. I'm getting confused when people say "getting secondaries" but then they also say check amcas for secondaries.

Does anyone know around when schools begin sending secondaries? It seems that all of the ones I have applied to (mostly in NC and FL) do not even screen the primary (unless it is severely out of their GPA/MCAT range), and they will send secondaries once your AMCAS gets verified.

Mine was verified around 6/15 so I'm just wondering if anyone knows a general timeline of when I should expect emails for secondaries 🙂 I'm thinking early July hopefully?

MDs dont even receive our primary app until tomorrow I believe, so any time after that.

Some MDs send secondaries even before they get the primaries. So, it's possible to get secondaries now but don't expect them to flood in until July.

It could be anytime starting today through whenever.
