I am applying in June/July '07 to ALOT of D.O. schools. I already know advisors and physicians who will write me a LOR. My stupid question is, Do I have the Docs write just a general LOR or do they have to specifically write one for each school I apply to? For instance, can I have the Docs write an LOR and send it to interfolio and have it copied and sent to the schools Im applying to? OR have a separate letter addressing each separate school for recommendation? How does this process WORK?

They write a general letter that is specific for medical school admission. Unless the school gives your writers a form to fill out, there really is no school specific writing involved.

I had all but one letter writer(must not have felt like doing it) address each school in the salutation individually: Dear XXCOM Admissions Comittee,...

A general one. A word of caution though. Not all places accept Interfolio. Do a little research on that. Some do not use VituaEvals either. Keep that in mind. Apply early of course and I hope you have a successfula application process.
