Stupid Question

So I have been complete at schools like Columbia and NYU since mid-August and have not heard anything about my application since. Does this mean I have been rejected? Is anyone else still waiting to hear back from schools after being complete for months?

Don't know about NYU, but Columbia doesn't start doing interviews until later, as far as I know. So, not hearing from Cola. yet doesnt mean anything bad.

Yea, I've been complete at NYU, Sinai and Cornell since the beginning of September, haven't heard anything from them either.

I sent in my secondary on 8/2... got email regarding interview about a month ago... was going to interview last thursday but declined because I'm already in at another school....
Havent heard from NYU... but I've turned down interviews from Mt. sinai, NYMC, Cornell and Albert Einstein...

Consider that some schools have 3,000 applications on the first day! And applications keep coming every day through mid-October or whatever the deadline is. There is a tremendous backlog although at this point, most schools have chipped away at the applications that were complete in August/September and are now almost ready to focus on those who were not complete until after the August MCAT.

I took the April MCAT and was complete at most places by mid-August. I guess this is a bad sign. Do you think I should call the schools to see where I stand?

No harm in calling, it's only fair that you know where you stand! I hope things work out for you!

Bianca01, I'm in the same boat (see the thread "Anybody still 'under review'"). I was complete at most schools by the middle to end of august with just one or two exceptions. I have had one interview, have another lined up, and have not heard anything from the rest of the schools. The ones that I have been able to get in contact with and ask how things are going either tell me that my application still has not been reviewed, or that they cannot tell me whether it has or hasn't been. Like me, I think you're going to have to be patient. (or try...) I can empathize completely, and I'm having trouble not getting too anxious myself. 🙁
