Why are some dental students required to save teeth? Do all students at all schools need to collect teeth?😕

Anybody know why students collect teeth? Is it to get a good sense of how certain teeth are shaped?

To work on them... to do procedures on them.

Probably the first thing you'll do with them are cavity preps, after you've worked on plastic teeth for a bit.

Plastic and enamel are quite different.

We use them primarily for endo during our D2 year.
