This may be a totally stupid question but here it is.

I have submitted my Keck application in August, and I have not heard anything back from them. So I e-mailed them a couple of weeks ago. I received an e-mail back saying that the status page will be updated in October. But, they did not say if they received my letters of recommendation and my fee. The check was not cashed. Schools say that it is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that all the materials were received by the admissions committee. But they don't give you any information regarding what they have so far. I am worried that if they update in October, and some letters are missing, then I will not gave time to ask recommenders to send letters in again.
What do you think?

There are no such things as stupid questions...just stupid people....😛

(don't mind me, I am extremely bored at work)

After reading your post, I think you should call them and ask if they received your check.
That happened with one of my schools and the secretary informed me that they deposit all checks at the end of the month, not student by student.
Call them from the approach that you sent a check in weeks ago and you want to make sure it's not lost. Also confirm with your school that all LORs have been sent out.

Sometimes you hit a dead end with schools that tell you to just "wait".

Thanks.
I'll try to call again. I know my school sent the letters out, but it happened before, for other schools, that the letters got misplaced and my school needed to send them twice.
I really tried to ask Keck about the check, but the lady is not very friendly, she seems very stressed out.

Well don't make her hate YOU (they are very skilled and are quick to recognize your voice should you call again).

I am sure htey have your stuff though. I was freaking out also when I one of my schools claimed that they sent my transcript to AMCAS but AMCAS didn't have it down as received. I was losing my mind. It took 5 weeks because AMCAS emailed me that they got it. I didn't whether to re-request the transcript or just try to remain patient.

This process is stressful enough, sometimes you just have to wait and sit things out.
