Thought it may help if people posted things they were pimped on at their aways this past season. Anything program specific (ie this attending loves to ask about this, etc) would be great. Gluck to everyone.

I was frequently asked "what's this?" (attending/resident points to structure). :D

Know anatomy. You won't be expected to know what surgery to offer or medicine questions.

Any place there are compartments with different structures is a good thing to know. Basically everything I got pimped on was in ortho secrets.

why is there a U shape in sinks - to keep sewer gases out
where is the arrow in the FedEx logo - between the E and the x
why do planes use landing flaps - inc camber of wing for more lift at low speed

these and many more completely random facts were much of what i got pimped on in the OR on one of my rotations
