Hey guys-

I have been taking the kaplan subject tests lately and i am kind of dissappointed with my results. I seem to miss around 10 questions on average of about 40 questions on the tests. I am really nervous to if this is the depiction of how well i will do on the real test...i am still planning to take the dat in early to mid august. thanks peeps.

Hey, I'm also having a tough time with the subject test. Biology seems to be quite easy, but chemistry is kind of hard. But keep practicing, and study the Explanations more than anything, that's what I'm doing.

I think the subject test arn't supposed to be taken as a 'test', but is more for practice - correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, if anyone has taken the DAT, and has also used the subject tests, how hard are the subject tests (mainly chem) compared to the DAT?

I haven't taken the real thing yet either (aug 11), but it seems like the subject tests are a consolidated version of the few tricky types of questions that might appear in the given section of the actual exam. They seem to want to make a point of the things that might surprise you on the exam, so it happens on a subject test and not the real thing.

If it's of any benefit, as far as a kaplan test comparison goes, I got a 40% on an o-chem subject test the night before I got a 21 in orgo in my full-length final. In my brief experience, it seems as if there is little comparison between the subject test score with a potential scaled DAT score.
