Edit: Im working on my schedule for the next 4 weeks and I dont understand the difference between a Subject based vs. Systems based approach.
I have set up a schedule like BRS Path- 4 days, MMRS- 3 days...but not sure if thats the systems based approach everyones been hailing as the most effecient way to go.
Any advice/samples would be appreciated.

"Subject based" would be to study the Pathology of the Nervous, GI, Endocrine systems ...., the Biochemistry of the nervous system, GI system...

"Systems based" would be to study the Nervous system by way of it's Pathology, biochemistry...., and then to study the GI system by way of it's pathology, biochemistry, ....

I should add that you probably also noticed that the test doesn't actually use either of these methods. They prefer to use a case-based approach..... "A pt [Dx] presents with [Sx], why does this pt have these Sx." ... which is probably 180 degrees from the way they teach you to think in the first two years.

You need to go with what works for you to review, then spend some time doing questions to teach you how to think through the case backwards using what you know.

Thanx. Id prob end up sticking to the subject approach....used to that method.
