Hi everyone I have a quick question. I am currently retaking a gen chem 1 class in which I received a C- in during my first semester of college. I will not be able to send in a transcript for this retake until early July which is when the final grade will be posted on the official transcript. I am not sure if I should submit my AACOMAS now or wait until the updated transcript. My stats are 3.35/3.1/27. I would appreciate any advice on this matter. Thank you!

With your stats, I think it's VERY important to submit ASAP. Don't underestimate the difference an early application will make. Just make sure to mark planned courses and then submit transcripts as soon as they're available. I'm in the same situation and have emailed CUSOM. They said that it will be put "on hold for grades" and then reviewed again once an updated transcript from AACOMAS is released. But this sounds like it means that the transcript will be released during one of the academic update periods and September is the earliest. So they may not even see your new GPA until September. However, I assume that you could also send the transcript directly to the school and follow up with admissions. I would contact whatever schools you're applying to if you're concerned about being screened out.

bad advice. OP got -C in her prereq course, that's auto rejection from most schools.

I have to say wait.
20 more days isn't going to make or break you, since it is a C- in a prerequisite.

Oops, missed the genchem part. In that case, wait until you get that transcript, but I still recommend contacting schools to get a solid answer.

Thank you everyone for your helpful advice! I really appreciate it!
