Hi everyone,
I'm applying to MSUCOM, AZCOM, Touro-CA, Western, DMUCOM, NYITCOM, PCOM, and KCUMB. I received supplemental invitations so far for MSUCOM, DMUCOM, Touro, Western, and AZCOM (Almost 2 weeks ago
).
The one letter I am waiting on is from one of my science letter writers who I took a class with in 2010. I actually have the letter written in 2010, but I asked him for an updated one recently since I was a teaching assistant for him. He hasn't uploaded it to Intefolio yet :/ I asked my other science letter writer to change the date on the old letter she had written since schools like KCUMB ask that the letters be dated within the last 2 years.
My dilemma is whether I should wait for that one updated letter or I should just go ahead and send in my stuff now with the old science letters that I have (I have 2 science letters from 2010 in a letter packet) to schools that I have received a supplemental from.
The MSU deadline is coming up in about 2 weeks. They only allow you to pick 2 letters and I don't know if my submitting one of those old science letters along with a letter from my PI will put me at a disadvantage. I know my PI's letter should be great, but I have a feeling that the old science letter I would be submitting might be kind of generic 🙁. I also have a letter from the physician that I shadowed for a few days, but I don't know how much better that letter would be than the science one *sigh*. I am applying OOS with a 31, 3.52sci/overall 3.59 if that helps.
Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you.
