Hello,
I have heard that it was possible to submit you're entire application, except for your OAT score on optomcas? Is this true? If so, can you please tell me how its done. I mean will this give you a better chance, instead of waiting to take the oat, can you just submit everything so schools have you're application and they can just wait for your score?

OptomCAS is seperate from the OAT. So, it has a section asking what your score is and test date OR when you plan on taking the OAT.

It would be to your best advantage to fill out all of the application on OptomCAS and submit it even if you haven't taken the OAT yet. It can take awhile for OptomCAS to verify your application and send it to the schools. Mine took 4 weeks for the schools to receive it from the time I submitted.

I heard some schools will extend an interview invitation to some without an OAT score if they like the rest of your application. They will then wait for your OAT score to see if they accept you or not. Other schools will wait to review your entire application at one time. So, if you submit in July and take your OAT in October, (you then send them a copy of your unofficial score that you will receive right after testing) and they will review your application in October. But hey, your application, LORs, and essay are out of the way!

I hope I answered your question.
