Submit Application Early or Retake Classes?

Im planning on applying next year.
I have a cgpa 3.3 sgpa 3.4. I can retake some classes next summer and maybe bump that to a 3.5cgpa 3.6sgpa. However summer classes run from June to August. I wont have my transcript until August 12th. Would this be considered a late applicant?

Would it be better to submit my AACOMAS without the retakes?

Also if I had a 5 unit biology class can I replace that with a 4 unit biology class + 1 unit lab?
