Hi, I'm planning on applying next cycle, but my school doesn't release final semester grades until around June 17th. Therefore, if I list my Spring term grades on the AAMCAS, my application won't be verified until late. I also could list those final term grades as 'pending' and then submit my application on the first day, and be verified on time. I could then send update letters to all the schools once I get my grades. Which course of action do you think would be best? I don't want to delay my application since submitting early is so important, but I also don't want to annoy med schools by not including all my grades.

Submitting June 17th is still super early. If your spring grades will help your GPA, I would wait for them.

My spring grades would most likely bring my cGPA from a 3.794 to a 3.81. It would bring my sGPA from a 3.736 to a 3.75. Do you think that's enough of a GPA boost to justify submitting a few weeks late? Thanks for your help!

The deans of admissions at two different Cali schools told me that it's better to submit as early as possible without spring grades, unless those spring grades will make a drastic difference in gpa.

People at my school all waited for grades (that's what we were advised) and they are all getting II's now and generally feeling good about their position....except people like me who waited around until July to submit 🙂

June is very very early. If you submit everything else by the time your transcript arrives you will be fine. You could even submit right before your transcript arrives so that you go into the verification line the moment your transcript comes online.

There is definitely wisdom to applying as early as you can, but middle of June is still super super early...
