Submit summer classes during Application cycle?

I'm taking classes this summer. Do I need to update my transcript on the application once I finish the summer semester or is it fine that I don't?

You should update the grades on the app when you finish, especially if they'll raise your GPA. Higher GPA = the better.

Isn’t there a time frame where this is allowed to be done (November?) I feel like if you’re taking summer courses that will raise your marks significantly, wait til you’re done them to submit your application so you don’t havw to wait for the academic update period

there's a specific time period for academic update? I thought you can update your application whenever.

i'm only taking 2 classes, which I don't think will really make a big impact

Waiting until you have grades for them and then submitting your app would put you very late, as most summer classes would end by the end of July/beginning of August and then waiting for grades to be posted and then sending your transcripts in (sometimes offices may be closed in the summer and/or may take longer) and then having your GPA verified....it would be too late. You are right about the Academic Update.

You can update ECs (Experiences, Achievements, Licenses) whenever (you can add new ones, but you cannot delete/edit the ones you had when you submitted). The academic update will (most likely) open 11/15 for you to make any changes to coursework and add grades for Summer and Fall, and planned coursework for Winter/Spring. So my post above is slightly misleading, I apologize. You will not be able to make any academic changes after submit your app, until the Academic Update. Best of luck!
