Submit to schools before DAT taken?

Hey guys,

So i've e-submitted to a few schools, but now im thinking does it make sense to e submit to the reminder of schools that I want to apply to BEFORE my DAT scores are in (Im taking it August 12)? Does this provide me some sort of placement in the admissions process? Thanks.

Submitting now and taking it in aug 12 might help a little. I submitted 2 weeks before my dat because it takes 4-6 weeks for aadsas to get your grade up and gpa calculated and lors, but it takes the ada about 3-4 weeks to send the dat. So submitting a couple weeks before might help. I applied to 12 schools then after the dat added 6 more.

it won't hold a spot until your app is complete BUT some schools will send you the secondary application which you can complete and get back to them. When you finish your DAT the process will go much faster👍

I submitted early June, went out in first batch on 6/27, but am not taking the DAT till about a month from now;
After schools received my application I just let them know that a DAT retake is coming still, and theyve all said that they've made notes in my file , some allowing the process to continue and then when an updated score comes in they take that into consideration, and others have said theyve put it aside until the new score comes in.
best to find out what each school will do with it from the ones you've applied to so you can make a better decision that way then on what to do.👍

My application is also mailed to school in 4th batch on 7/18 but I'm retaking DAT in September. Do I have to contact schools to let them know that I'm retaking DAT even though I put september DAT planned in the DAT section of AADSAS application?
