Submit with current grades or wait for Summer 2?

It wouldn’t hurt to wait. You’re not submitting apps til the MCAT is back. Your app will still be verified by then, even if you wait the three weeks.

I do caution you to make sure you are scoring significantly higher than a 501 on your practice exams. I wouldn’t risk it unless you’re getting up past 507. If you score below a 501, it can significantly hinder your app. Even just scoring around your current score will raise questions.

I wasn't planning to unless I was consistently 505+, but hopefully closer to 510. I still have 5 weeks to improve, and I'm seeing upward movement with section banks and practice tests. Thanks for the advice, though!

Goodluck!

That uGPA being sub 3.0 is problematic...
Grad GPA is good, why raise to 0.06?
501 MCAT is okay for a decent amount of osteo schools
Forget about MD

If I were you, I'd apply to 20+ DO schools and hope for the best
I hope your EC's can make up for your low-ish stats
DO letter would be helpful too

Good luck!

Thanks, I’ll have two DO letters by the end of this month, so I’m good on that score. I’m only applying to my state MD school because they regularly take <505 MCAT scores and reward reinvention.

I’m taking another postbacc class in the fall that will put my uGPA over 3.0, but the AACOMAS averages undergrad and grad together so I’m already over 3.0 for them.

With an AACOMAS over 3.0 and your MCAT just apply widely to DO.
