I just finished up an abstract which I submitted to a prestigious national meeting likely to be accepted. My pub entry in ERAS was rather threadbare, is this worthy to send to places as an update before programs send out interviews? We're unlikely to hear back on acceptance until well into interview season, I just figured it would be nice to show programs some endpoint to my work and that it's not all theoretical. Good idea or nuisance/waste of time? Thanks!

EDIT: We're currently working on the manuscript

Nuisance. If you already mentioned you were working on the project then I'm sure they will conclude on their own that there would eventually be an endpoint.

To email them to say you submitted is pretty silly. If it gets accepted then you can update them when you go interview.

No. This is discussed in the FAQ.
