Submitted draft of own letter of rec

Hey everyone,

I was asked by two professors to send them drafts of what I thought a letter of rec should look like. Recently, our conversations lead me to believe that for both letters of rec, my professors just signed the letters and submitted them. Is this a huge red flag? Should I reach out to schools and ask to forfeit this cycle? Will I get blacklisted for this?

How would anyone even know about this? If they asked you to draft it, you probably wouldn't have gotten a timely letter otherwise. Just let it go.

I'm pretty sure this is common practice. There's no way adcoms are gonna know that YOU wrote it (unless both of your drafts were the same). You'll be fine!
