So I made a very silly mistake...

I submitted my Primary with an MCAT date of July 2nd but I am taking my MCAT on July 24th. No excuses, just irresponsible.

What should I do to rectify this situation? Should I wait until I get verified and change it or change it now? I don't want to lose my place in the verification line by changing this so could I just change it after I get verified? I only submitted to one school so I hope that school does not write me off 🙁

Thanks!

Just fix it. I could be wrong but I don't believe that change will cause you to "lose your spot" in the verification line. I believe the only things that will do that are changes to your transcript information. I very well may be wrong, though, so you might want to check the AMCAS manual to see if there's any helpful information.

Regardless, the best thing to do is just fix the mistake.

Yup I have to fix it. Anyone know if this is going to change my submission date to today? I submitted on June 30th but since I'll be changing my MCAT date will that change my submission date?

You can change it. It will not change your submission date. It will tell you you have to "resubmit" the app by re-agreeing to all of the terms and conditions, but it will not affect your spot in line. If you don't believe me, go try it. Before you resubmit it, it will give you the opportunity to opt out, as well as explain what I did above.

Thank you Catalystik! I just changed it and you are absolutely correct!
