I have everything finished up with my app except my letters and DAT, which I plan to take July 7th. I'm also going with a committee letter instead of individual letters of recommendation. I already have 5 letters from a dentist, my boss, an english, chemistry, and bio professor that I need to submit to my advisor for her to write the committee letter. I'm still waiting on a letter from a physics professor that I know would write me a really good letter, but he said he doesn't finish his letters up until mid-July. My first question is, can you submit your AADSAS app before you have all your LoE in? I found a link here http://www.adea.org/dental_education_pathways/aadsas/Applicants/FAQs/CompletingAADSASApplication/Pages/LettersofEvaluationMatchingForms.aspx that says you can, so I'm just trying to clarify. If you submit it before your LoE is in, will the schools just hold on to your app and not look at it until the LoE is in?

My second question is sort of related. Do you think I should just submit the five letters I have now to my advisor so she can begin working on the committee letter, or should I wait until I have my physics professor's letter in? My advisor said she will write and send the letter out by August 1st at the latest, but I feel like the earlier the better. However, if I'm not taking the DAT until July 7th, and it takes a couple weeks for those scores to process anyways, maybe I should just wait on sending out the letters?

Also, the way I understand it, you can submit your AADSAS app with both your LoE and DAT score pending, so should just go ahead and do that now?

From what I've heard, they will consider your app incomplete until your LoRs are all in.

See above.

I didn't do the committee letter but what is the required amount of LOR from professor to write a committee letter? Isn't 5 LOR enough? Would the LOR from physics professor dramatically change the outcome of committee letter?

IMO, 5 good LOR from different kinds of profession (from what I see on your post), it is a great indication that you are outstanding person. I don't think it is worth the wait until August. You never know how the professor delay their LOR. If your stats are excellent then that may be fine but if your stats are average then THE TIME is vital. EARLIER THE BETTER from my experience and friends who applied last year.
