Submitting NYU processing fee at the same time of AADSAS submission

I already turned in my AADSAS application and began the supplementaries for schools requiring them at the same time of the initial application. NYU simply requires a $75 processing check (http://www.nyu.edu/dental/academicprograms/dds/admissions.html). Do I simply just send them a check with my AADSAS number on it? Or should I type up a letter stating what the check is for?

I don't think there is a way to find out on the actual aadsas application portal. I've been checking my bank statement online.

The checks that I sent to VCU, UNLV, and LSU have all been cashed, but so far the NYU check hasn't been (and I sent it out immediately).

It says on NYU's website to be patient; check cashing could take weeks.

Don't worry about it. I visited a dental school around last Labor Day and spoke with the Admissions Director. There was a stack of personal check about 3-4 inches high on her desk. It was apparent to me that this school didn't deposit the checks as they received them but was probably waiting to deposit after collecting so many.
I'm sure other schools do the same thing.

Go into your AADSAS application home page and click on the link 'Dental School Designations'. There will be an icon to click for each school regarding supplemental information.
