Hey guys. I need some help. I have an interview at Cornell tomorrow, and unfortunately, I couldn't find a host to stay with and decided to stay with a friend in Queens. I'm planning to take the subway to Cornell, but this is only like my second time in the city, and I'm totally unfamiliar with the area. I'm just afraid that I'll get lost and miss the morning interview or something. To be more specific, I'm going from the Flushing subway station to Cornell... is this a bad idea? Or is it pretty easy to get to Cornell this way? Thanks a lot, guys!!

I'm not a Queens girl, but I think the easiest way is to take the 7 express to Queensboro Plaza, switch accross the platform to the N or R train and go one stop to Lexigton Avenue. From Lexington/59th street it is a short walk. You could switch at Lexington Avenue to the Uptown #6 and go one stop to 68th Street, which would be an even shorter walk.

Good Luck!

I live in Flushing!!

Yup, just do what the previous poster said, take the 7 to QueensBoro Plaza, and then take the N or W, across the platform and get off at Lexington - walk to Cornell. The R doesn't come to QueensBoro Plaza, only N or W. Both are fine and will take you to Lexington, the next stop after QueensBoro Plaza.

Or at Lexington, you can take the 6 which is upstairs when you get off(follow the signs) to 68 street.

PM me if you need any more info.

Sweet. Thanks a lot both of you! And good luck to you both~!

Dude. I think the 5 train will get you to any med school in the city...except for Columbia, for which you'd need to transfer to the A train in lower manhattan. You can definitely use it to get to Downstate, Einstein, Cornell, and Sinai. Besides, they've put in those new trains on that line that actually announce the next stop and have clear markers of the whole route and which stops will be skipped.

Props to my homies in the M-T-A!
