Suggestion for official school based threads...

I don't know if this is even doable or manageable but it seems like a good idea...so many times I'm reading threads and I think..well, different school, don't know if this would apply to me at all, wonder if I knew if it did.
I've seen other forums on SDN have "Official XXSchool Threads". I think it would be great to have here.

Any thoughts?

Are there very many people from your school here? If so, you should start a thread and see if it gets much attention. I think this kinda thread would be great for schools that have lots of representatives here.

Maybe a more feasible plan would to have regional threads. I know all the schools I applied to are in the southeastern region so this would be helpful.

I think he's thinking of a thread specifically devoted to a particular school. For example, having a thread just for Butler so that they could have more school specific discussions.

I think it's a neat concept, but I don't think the majority of schools have enough people here to really keep something like that going.

Yes, I was thinking school devoted, not class devoted. And honestly, if there aren't enough people and enough interest, than the thread would be self-limiting...it would die out on its own, right?

I think it, also, would cut down on the repetitive school-based questions we see alot...if someone could read a specific thread...

You should just give it a try for your school and see how it goes.

i think regional would be better....
there's really not enough people on here from most schools to make it all that benefical for some people....

Maybe we could do it by state for some of the more populous areas. All the California school questions could be in one section. They have a lot of schools and a lot of questions.

Most of the osteo and allo class threads are pretty much dead, yet they still have them.

I think its a good idea. If nothing else you might meet a few people before you get to class, or swap some notes or something.

That is true, listing all the schools in Cal would be crazy.
