can anyone suggest prelim med and transitional programs that may not be that competitive?

soon to be US grad (1 month!!!!), USLME 1&2 <210 (passed first time), strong letters, less than avg. grades, and had to repeat Family Medicine clerkship (ugh, rough times)

any help would be greatly appreciated. thnx.

Generally community prelim programs in undesirable locations are not very competitive.

I'm a little confused, because if you're planning on starting in a few months, you'll probably have a very hard time. (The match being over and all.)

Start looking at the programs that didn't fill in the match this year. You'll have a harder time with transitional programs than prelim medicine.

Good luck!

thnx for the advice. im not trying to transfer. just preparing for this 2010 application period as i didnt match.

I would like to know what are the worst least competitive Prelim. programs?
